Happy Birthday Rafiq Azad, Poet of ample light.

76th birth anniversary of Rafiq Azad, one of the strongest poets of modern Bengali poetry, is today. Various organizations and organizations will remember the poet through various programs.

Rafiq Azad is a freedom fighter, poet, journalist, editor, and writer. Teaching in college also. His literary practice started in the student's life. Tangail started his career at Maulana Muhammad Ali College, through the renowned poet of the sixties.

After the country's independence, he joined the Bangla Academy. About one and a half decades he was the director of Bangla Academy. He edited the academy's literary journal 'UTTARADHIKAR' for a long time. He quit the academy and joined Ittefaq Group as editor of 'Weekly Sunday' magazine. Poet took part in the 1971 liberation war, under the leadership of Kaderia.

Poet Rafiq Azad Ekushey Sahitya Puraskar, Bangla Academy Literary Award, Humayun Kadir Smriti Award, Hasan Hafizur Rahman Memorial Award, Poet Ahsan Habib Award, and Muktijoddha Award for being awarded for literature. Poet died in Dhaka on 12 March 2016.

On the occasion of the day, Rafiq Azad Memorial Board has taken various programs. It was informed on behalf of the council that in the morning at the Shaheed intellectual graveyard of Mirpur, the memorial will be conferred on the memorial of the poet and the family members by giving flowers to the family. Kabir Rashid Azad's residence at 4:00 pm (Home No. 139/4A, Road No.1, Dhanmondi Residential Area, Dhaka-1205) will be unveiled in the poetry of poetry composition 'GODDER GOHON ORONNE'. Chief guest, Emeritus professor Anisuzzaman.

Professor Rafiqullah Khan will discuss key issues related to Rafiq Azad. It will be presided over by the poet Rafiq Azad Memorial Board president and architect Rabiul Hussain.
