LOVE HUMBLES THE MAN WITHIN

When He was a child, He was taught African masculinity and valor; to become the strong willed man who controls.
As the mind and body grow, they harmoniously agreed, never to disappoint the divine mandate to rule.
But He never knew that Love conquers, even he who holds a mandate to dominate. A mandate over mandates.

Like an egg She was tender and fragile; like a breathing muscle He was full of valor.
She was magnificently lovely and He was helplessly in love, She was the mother confessor and He willingly gave himself to be confessed.
The enchantment of her beauty which was crowned with her smiles, became the exercise that gently relaxed his muscles

Even when He says, "I've failed in my divine assignment to conquer her", her tender whispering voice reminds him that he has only subdued to a greater mandate.
That was when He realized, that all his childhood lessons on valor, were meant to prepare him for this moment of surrender.
He grew up as strong and proud, but Love humbled him to make him even stronger.

READER'S NOTE

The poem talks about the power of Love and it's effects on a man. How the love of a woman can turn a strong and proud man into weak and humble. He exercises the full extent of his valor and control anywhere, but before the woman he Loves, he makes use of his strength to love her and not control her.
