Tell the boy child
that giving in to emotions is not weakness
but that when emotion rules reason
it is weakness

Tell the boy child
that selfishness is rooted when one is grossly
birthed in subjectivity
and that too much popularity is hatred

The the boy child
that books and good relations make a man future
not girlfriends and undue wealth
tell him that money is a voice
but excess money kills character

Tell the boy child
that when a girl loves
she does so with all her heart
but tell him also that love has its prime

Tell the boy child that being mysterious
brings respect
but that it kills trust and confidence
and that being honest brings great minds
but steer away shadowless sycophant crowds

Tell the boy child
that raising a hand on a girl is a sign of weakness
and that the best way to beat a girl is silence
but he should never toil with a girls emotions

Tell the boy child
that too much honour brings conceit
and too wealth brings pride
teach him that character is a stranger
steered by the compass of our conscience

Tell the boy child
that violence is never a solution to a problem
but true minds embrace love offered on the platter of intelligent reasoning

Tell the boy child
that education has two phases
It either brings out the virtues in you
or the beast in a man
but each is determine by conscience and acceptance

Tell the boy child
that to love is to live
and that happenstance appear more promising
when in reality it is a mirage

Tell the boy child
that when parents become empty nester
their kids are a welcome relief to the cold companion of loneliness

Tell the boy child
that changing a man is changing himself
and that words kill more than the sword
bury your tongue in silence
and never fail to be resilient in virtuous acts

Tell the boy child
that virginity is not a commodity only sold out
by the fair sex
that boys, too, can be virgins

Tell the boy child that writing
is a painting of the voice
and that the eyes appreciate arts
tell him he should never fail to give the ink his voice
for many a time, the lips embrace cowardice
