The Withering Rose

It was planted, nurtured,and taken cared of.
It hurdles the heat and storm.
Then suddenly it bloomed and flourished.
Its charm captivates the onlookers.

Suddenly it was picked.
Smelled and has given joy to someone who receives it.
As her eyes gets brighter with admiration of what the receives, the rose slowly withers.

Soon, it will displayed , gazed upon in the corner.
As days passed by, it slowly fades....
And will soon be forgotten...taken for granted!
