I will take a rest
today is the day
I decided
to not be here
I will write no poem
not even one verse
instead, I will take
a day, today is a good day
I will take a day and rest
no, you won’t hear from me
not even a peep
if you’ve set an alarm
every time I post
it won’t go off
don’t worry your app
isn't infected
it’s just today
I’m taking a rest
stop checking my page
you will find naught new
just your dark reflection
looking lost and forlorn
hovering like Poe's ghost
casting shade onto the screen
pah... thet ... tic
get over it
forget that last stanza
it was a little too poetic
and breaks with the theme
of the day
I repeat there's none
okay, I hadn't said it before
but now I have
do I have say everything
three times with you
get it through your noggin
today, I am taking a rest
so forget that last stanza
because it wasn’t one
stop pleading
I won’t have any tears
I’m taking a day
just one day
I’m taking a day to rest
just to help
you through
the immense withdrawal
I'm not heartless

I think everybody on here feels the same way right now - I didn't post a poem the other night because nobody seemed to be on or care...I hate the doldrums. It's almost as bad as Pittsburgh, LOL
Well ... somebody noticed and cared. But I also understood why there was no poem. I'd hoped it was because you and Deb were out painting the town red or at least a rosy hue. I think the big wigs are done playing us around ... us being crypto ... they will buy in and things will flourish again. There is too much opportunity for them not to ...

I am having fun with you my girl. Well done.
I had decided to finally take a skip. I even had my husband take away my phone and note book.
But I clanged out some rhyming strangeness at the last minute.
I have no idea what to write next.
Glad to hear that. I never know what to write until its written. I was feeling so bleak before my coffee, I just had to turn it around. A little Dadaism always turns things a little askew and gives a better view of things.
I look forward to your next work ... but hey, sister-poet ... no pressure:):):)
