We're all talk, talk, talk
but no body listens
we speak as if we're free
because we refuse to see
or cage of gilded bars
so pretty when they glisten

Cautiously, we move our feet
upon the predetermined path
careful not to elicit suspicion
we've been beaten into submission
after all we have nothing to hide
best to avoid Big brother's wrath

Inflated, degraded, mindless
milling about, vapid and vain
corrupted idols, fallen from grace
Beauty's skin deep, let's save face
and sacrifice what really matters
so They can eat our pain

Pretend we are none the wiser
for ignorance is bliss
Do as we're told, no questions
best to follow their directions
Is this the world we strive for?
Do we wish to live like this?
