She looks through the glass
The world just beyond her grasp
The sunlight bouncing off the leaves and grass
This feeling wasn’t meant to last

Her life is like a sad movie
Being within those walls felt like juvie
She has never known what it means to feel groovy
She muses as she curls up in her hoodie

Then he shows up
Her smiles just won’t stop
It’s like the bottle with the good feelings has lost its top
And there’s nowhere to go but up

He makes her want more
To see the world, to explore
So she gets off the floor
And walks right out the door

But she’s made a wrong call
She’s forgotten why she has to stay within those walls
It’s like trying to ride a bike but all you do is fall
Now she knows the world isn’t for her after all
