Imperishable legacy

I wanted to show a few people one of my free verse poems that I recently did. It's a new form of poetry for me, so I'd appreciate any feedback on it.

to them that are powerless
give education
to them that walk in darkness
give education
education is power
education is light
what shall one give in exchange for education?
what shall one give in exchange for knowledge?
education, a path to glory
education, a ticket to great places
education, a key to great doors
education, the key to fulfill great dreams
the key to realize great ambitions
education, the womb from where great men are born
education, an imperishable legacy

what a great privilege to come to school!
learning about people
learning about places
what an invaluable gift education is!
nothing to give in exchange for education.
