Forever and a Day

It’s been forever and a day
Forever too long

Yet even as darkness surrounds me
And the light begins to dim
My pen keeps on writing
The words from within

I’ve imagined life without you
Yet all I can see is darkness
And it’s too hard to move on
With you gone away

It’s been too long
I’ve tried to be too strong
And I realize I’m weak without you

It’s been forever and a day
And that waiting pain is torture
For the man forced to endure
Forever and a day
