Aliferous-Wings (An Original Poem)

"She was a caterpillar gazing at the horizon
'what is beauty?" She thought
"is it the scenery before me?",she thought

Her compatriots loved her and she always listened
she was the beauty of the soil
but they had rules
rules they said were meant to be followed
and their most sacred rule: Do not fly

when she transformed into a butterfly,
the caterpillars didnt speak of her beauty
they spoke of her deformity
they whispered of her weirdness
they wanted her to change back

But, now, she had wings
she was what she had always been
she could fly, and they could not
and she whisked herself from her home

Taking in the scenry
Taking in the air
Taking her wings and being what she had always been
"Ah, so this is beauty."

P.S: Dont let anyone take away your freedom. Be yourself and love yourself. You are beautiful.
