my brain in such a rage
resentment and hate
has infiltrated me too late
sorry you missed the show
i would've saved you a seat in first row
but the fight's been fought
unfortunately i lost
don't worry you didn't miss much
just my psychotic crutch
that i try so hard to hide
taking a public ride
displaying all my insecurities
flaunting themselves
with all their nonexisting purities
haunting me every day
blotting out all the sun rays
destroying my last particle of hope
strangling me with a knotted rope
but wait there's more
i finally picked myself up from the floor
and for the first time in a while i smiled
a smile that went wild
because i realized
that hope is crystallized
and it's just waiting for the strength
to look through the imperfections and shine
