A Muse is Wonderful, Yet a Muse is so Much More than a Muse
#66
What it would be like to abandon myself to you,
To meet you head on
Melding conquest and submission.
To take you, for a night,
To satisfy you,
To listen and trace your body,
To give in to you,
To let loose the waiting music
With fingers driven mad by lust and admiration.
To hold you as the world dissolved about,
Watching the night stars recede
As time puts down his scepter and death his scythe.
To love with complete abandon
Engaging in the release and pull,
Laying tired and satisfied with
Listening to your breathing
As the wind continued, a patron of the night
Carrying on,
A bit wiser and a bit younger.
Thank you for reading! Both poems are originals from me and the picture drawn is from my good friend Aaron, who will soon be a part of the Steemit community. Love any comments or critique or discussion. Hope you enjoyed and if so please follow, will be posting new poems daily. Thank you!
