Pain in the heart

The pain in the heart, it weighs so heavy,
A burden that one can't ignore or levy.
It's like a storm that rages within,
Leaving behind chaos, destruction, and sin.

It's a pain that pierces like a knife,
Stabbing at the soul, taking one's life.
The tears that fall are like a river,
Flowing endlessly, causing shivers.

It's a pain that lingers and won't subside,
A wound that stays open, refusing to hide.
It's a hurt that one can't simply dismiss,
A feeling of loss, a feeling of abyss.

The heart aches, and the mind is numb,
As the pain takes over, one feels so dumb.
