LOVE is the Measure Pt.2

I am combing the sands of time,
for a moment in history
before patriarchy and imperialism
Colonized our ancesTrees
disconnected us from the root
of our inner wisdom
When we danced with the stars
around the Life giving fires
and sang the praises
of our Mother Earth
who gently lifted us higher
With love and respect
we gave care to each other.
Took no more than we needed
from the land and the water
Honoring this sacred power
residing in heaven and earth
as a delicate flower awaiting rebirth
Reclaiming our birthright
To birth light
in the void of the night
We rise in humility
honoring each one
that has helped us
reach our destiny
Respectively shifting perspectives
Tilting the scales
To better measure
The space between
Life and death
All wrapped up in dream
Or nightmare... if
You continue to runaway
from your gift.
