The sun shines once more

I saw something today.
A smile in the clouds
It was brief, fleeting, but it was there

It has been grey in my mind, the clouds filled with heavy rain, dripping and dropping as they will

and then at once, an explosion, mightily, forcefully, the sun's rays bursting through the clouds
birds singing, I feel their warmth

heating me from the inside, I feel the strength returning to my limbs
once more I can stand

now, the sun gone, clouds returned,
I still feel that warmth, the strength binding my limbs one to another

standing in the sun of my own mind I rest,
recovered,
rejuvenated,
ready
