Eternal Memory

A familiar face comes across me
Very bright, very vivid
I try to get hold of it
But in a blink it gets all blurry.

I then realize it's beyond my reach
Gone far off, far apart
Like a spirit it gets vanished
Leaving behind memories of moments each.

I failed to see in those eyes
The lost love, the lost cause
Being convinced by the melting words
Which were nothing but lies.

Those longings have lately left me
Entirely broken down, broken hearten
Now surrounded by grief and pain
I can only lament in agony.
