THE PAIN

every morning he woke up with fear
the pain grew and grew, year after year
he was afraid, afraid of goin' to school
like yesterday, today it will be cruel
he had no friends, was the target number one
he was shakin', like they're havin' a gun
no one seemed to notice, no one seemed to care
no help, just smilin' faces everywhere
they felt so powerful, they felt so high
to make fun of him, just cuz he was shy
one day a mother found her son dead, the room was so cold
he hung himself, he was just ten years old

there is no reason anymore to cry
far away, beautiful peace you will find
the dark forest of the earth is now behind
with your brothers and sisters, you will play again
where the clouds are dancin', you will smile again

her heart was burnin' in her chest
they always found somethin' to laugh, like how she was dressed
they called her ugly and fat
her cat was the only friend she had
every day after school on her bed she was lyin'
the pain was always there, for hours she was cryin'
everythin' felt so unfair, so wrong
she didn't know how to be strong
she even forgot how to smile, there was no light, no fun
she knew where her father kept his gun
in the evening a father found his daughter dead
on the wall was the color red

even just words can be sharp as a knife
