Reclaiming

Dragged from our native land
Confused and not able to understand
Why we were snatched up like lost money
Stripped of all love and honey
Brought to a new destination
filled with strife and frustration
torn from our loved ones
sold to the one with the highest sum
told to forget our past
and to be typecast
as a house negro or buffoon
but I dance to a new tune
of free thought and non constraint
never will I allow u to taint
this freedom train
a new beast immaculate
ruling this cosmic brain
of spirituality and intelligence
black peeps on point and accurate
reclaiming our divine stance
regardless of created conditions and circumstance.
