Tuesday Afternoon.
First a thirst starts to burn and a shadow creeps in
Once again old friend a new enemy made
From conjured stories made up from a song seldom played.
It’s not true that time flies
when it’s anxious and ill
Time stumbles
Time crumbles
dropped the ball that’s a fumble
Can’t you be humble what is really wrong with you now?
Breathe
Soft light
Tell thetruth
About those lies
This really hurts I threw a tantrum
Threw the game
Through the roof my calmness blew
I sting my wound
And really
It’s supposed to be
Grit from the sand
Is that what you planned
When you stole from me
My last good drop of youth
Thanks
I am welcome
You are not
But I almost forgot to say
I should never have let you all
See me this way

Silence the sirens
wipe my lens clean too
She is the sweetest
why resist her too?
Disenchanted she dances
up on the tree tops
They came to trim branches
she couldn’t say stop
The leaves rustled rudely
The bark broke with haste
Bewildered yet still sure
this wasn’t a waste
A taste of fine breezes and
delicious delights
Held her tongue in a
tumbled up
twisted moon light.
The ending comes never
The story goes on
The girl
And the pendulum
swings all night long
I don't know why that really resonated with me but it did.

Thank you! I like that part too. For me when I read it isolated like you have it here in this comment, it felt kind of like a mix between Dr Suess and Shel Silverstein. Of course I loved both of them, so those writers have been a stream of inspiration for me since childhood. Haha

I have a song that I am yet to complete that touches on the topic of moonlit souls alive and in love... but only in the moonlight... when dawn strikes it all comes to an end

It's in the tool box, the lyrics are complete for the most part, its now about the Harmonic & Melodic delivery, super moody song, going for like a dark classical vibe, like a moonlit soliloquy, was turning into an epic of a song, more violins required! haha
