Dancing with Risk

There is never any hiding from what truth lies within

Us; we can fight like hell to keep it hidden from 

Those we love but, there is no corner far enough to

Keep us away from its presence.

**

We choose to dance to the rhythm of our work life;

We fight like hell to keep the daylight the best

Distraction it can be but, at the end of the daylight 

We are faced with the silence of night.

**

If we aren’t careful of our thoughts; we can find

Ourselves in a world wind of doubt, frustration,

And missing pieces –pieces that once played a part in 

Who we once were and who we are.

**

We are human; we stand to make mistakes in which

–will alter the course of our life for better or worse. We

 Choose to dive in head first time and time again, without 

Hesitation, without a second thought about it.

**

Dancing with risk is in our blood; taught to keep us

Thriving when all faith within ourselves, within

Hope has gone dark –we choose to play with risk because

The adrenaline fills us with a moment where

Everything becomes weightless. 

**

We are human; we stand to race towards what makes us

Feel good; what makes us forget even if only for a split

Moment in time –forgetting is that one second where;

Everything is anything, and anything is everything.
