We’ve known each other for years

Never really spoken

We were both in our own social circles

Knew friends of friends

But not each other

Till now

One random urge to IM

Led to hour long conversations

We shared everything

Fear, heartbreak, feelings, emotions

Nothing was judged

It was so easy

To let my heart out

Cause you had gone through it all too

Cause you understood

More than I thought anyone could

So I trusted you with everything

And you never failed to listen

And share your own stories

How could I not have known

That if I had gotten the courage to talk to you earlier

We might be more than just friends

But we’re going to different colleges within months

And I fear losing the ability to talk with you

Cause you’re the nicest guy I’ve ever met

You care like no one else

You’re loyal to the end

You told me I could let my heart out and you’d listen

So I did

And now I have no more secrets from you

You know everything

And you’re still here

Wanting to talk, to be there for me

I never thought someone like you existed

And I don’t feel wrong saying this
