The Perfect Ending (An Original Poem)
I don't care about your past
It's you and our future that I want
Many moments and memories we've lost
Let's make what we have count
The story of our lives is just starting
I foresee abundance of happiness and smiles
The song of our love will be everlasting
Together we'll overcome all problems and trials
I cannot erase all that you've suffered
Yet I promise you peace and serenity
I admire your strength through all that you've endured
I offer you my heart and my respect till eternity
The journey of life oftentimes weakens us, the journey of love sometimes leaves us broken. Each person has their own path to course, and their own story to write. Yet it is not done in seclusion - when other individuals come and wreak havoc on our stories, it leaves us dazed, confused, disillusioned and the very foundation of trust is shaken. It takes time to trust again, healing is a continuous struggle. But then one day, when we once again discover someone who is compassionate enough to our wants, who is attuned to our desires, who understands us for who we truly are and who treats us how we should have been treated all along - we slowly start to let our guard down in hopes of finding happiness, but fearful of being let down again. This magnificent and tumultuous cycle of love and life is a roller-coaster of emotions where people trust, confide, share, fall down and get back up. We should not seek a perfect journey, yet a perfect ending is what we must desire!

Yeah I can very much relate to all you have written here...
Especially the part about it taking time to trust again...
It took me over 10 years to be able to trust again after a bad relationship...
But the Sun finally came out again and now I'm with the most wonderful person I have ever known and I am very grateful...

Friedricht Neitze said "every time you close your eyes, a world is destroyed. Every time you open your eyes, a new world is created". The inference was, every moment is a new world ! Your poem speaks of this thought . A new beginning is whenever you want it to be so. Nice verse of hope :)
