SILENCE SPEAKS OF FEELINGS (An Original Poetry)

Unfading,
as ink dotted on letters
doused by time,
torched by scars
like a pain lingering within
standing firm in the memories
the defeat of yester years,
makes us coward in boots,
as we refuse to wake,
with the rising of the sun
Words are like glue,
in the softness of the tongue
unable to muster or form
like minstrels unable to sing,
the heart is throbbing in turbulence,
echoes vibrating within,
thoughts marrying opinions
as new ideas are birthed,
but we're like armed gladiators
unable to wield the weight of our swords.
The silence speaks of feelings
the eyes a harbinger,
we're writers in zygote stages
brewing stories in the mind,
unsure of characters
we're afraid of speaking out of turn
freightened by the sound
emanating from our voices.
Love is a burden,
Strapped across the shoulder,
like transgressions
sewing up the lips,
with a thousand whacks
a giant stone in the soul
making the spirit sink with aplomb,
when we could spill the kidney
and be eternally free
It feels good to read your peotry again.
