Beach of Tides
As waves roll forth
The cages gape
For those who cannot flee,
Upon the steps
Wrapped in his cape,
The stranded vs. the sea.
And over shores
A howling wind
Encourages the tide,
Drowning the beach
Whose presence thinned-
No place left to reside.
With back to rock
And feet to sand
He gazed at islands near,
While from the sea
A roaring band
Surrounded him with fear.
Within the waves
The ancient beasts
Extended vicious claws.
Dropped to his knees
The stranded feast
Was taken without pause.
