Night Mother
The hours pass on dark nights,
That light up with the brightness of your eyes;
your crying steals my sleep,
but your smile fills me with life,
in the aurora I contemplate your face
and I see how fragile you are.
Your breathing is like wind
that refreshes my soul,
the beating of your heart
They are melodies that please my ears.
You are so tiny for the world
and at the same time so big for my heart.
I never tire of contemplating you, Son!
And to thank God for
So wonderful gift.
