"Leaving"
The idea of leaving something is always the hardest. Letting go of things visible and invisible always bring pain. But pain is always beautiful when you can survive it.
My eyes swell from tasting the sun
so I have to leave
wished i could be like camels
who cross borders without passports
but I can write
though the shepherd who trims the flock
in summer understands more
of why they chase the sun for greens
and return to slice the moon
they do not belong there
and me here.
