So it's Monday morning, can't sleep, thoughts of what could have been have me rolling around in bed... I should be working but can't way to distracted to do anything, damn... All i can do is write, damn...
Sometimes i pretend to be happy
I say funny things and act goofy
I say to the world "it's a joke"
While in truth I hide and wear a cloak
Sometimes i pretend to be something I'm not
a gangster, a musician, a tyrant, a savage
To do and commit the sins I cannot
Without to my soul damage
Sometimes i pretend to love you
At least i think I'm pretending
But I'm just confused
Cause if pretending is what I'm doing
Then I'm pretending to pretend
For this is my curse, my prison
My awful state like I'm locked up for treason
