There's A Place (Original Poem)

There's a Place
James A Walker

There's a place where none grow older
There's a place where no one's colder
There's a place where all grow bolder down deep in your mind
There's a place where all are kind
There's a place where there's no time
There's a place that's oh so fine down deep in your mind

Down deep in your mind is a place where love's defined
Where anger's banned and hatred too
Where lies are bound and words are true
Where kindness is the way of life
When the heart cries out it's not denied
With all our longings satisfied, we do what we should do
We do what we should do

I once thought this poem was finished
But there's much more that should be in it
If we take time to understand
We will lend a helping hand

There's a place where there's peace of mine
There's a place where our hearts shine
Where all men gain not grasp for dimes
When hearts cry out we take the time
With hand held out we help each other
Women, men, sisters, brothers
Hand in hand we all grow stronger
We can not put this off any longer
Till these thoughts become words and deeds.
Let them be birthed in you and me
I think it's time that we decide
This is the place...This is the time
