Poem - Sonnetto of the Blind Pilgrim
The lost pilgrim seeking the intangible,
Is it love, or is it redemption?
Will the wind of deception extinguish the tenuous light of his candle?
Or is it already lost to his misdirected pretension?
The lonely pilgrim searching for his stable,
His wild stallion heart, once had a home,
T’was long lost to his own betrayal.
Dissipated into the ocean, his once treasured golden chrome.
The wounded pilgrim searching for his medicine,
His lies have lacerated and maimed.
Lost in limbo, his soul forever jettisoned,
Leaving the husk of a man without his burning flame.
The blind pilgrim wanders on without his light,
Yet his heart knows love, and he'll live to fight.
