Poem - Nyarlathotep
The gift of
Phantasmal visions
Of eldritch visitations
To cyclopean city bastions
'neath strange stars
The shining trapezohedron
A testament to Yuggoth
Atlantis and the Pharaohs of ancient Egypt
Nyarlathotep
The crawling chaos
The haunter of the dark
The spawn of Azathoth
Peers through
The shining trapezohedron
To spread sadness
And lure the feeble minded
Into the realms of madness
If thou dare
—Stare
Into the binding void
Within the shining trapezohedron
Thou wouldst find
The masked messenger
Seducing with starry wisdom
Enticing with preternatural knowledge
And unhinging
With its eldritch symmetry
Nyarlathotep
The skinless one
The howler in the dark
The father of all bats
It walks
Among men
And dwells
In the Plateau of Leng
Formless
It traverses
Every plane of existence
It toys with Pharaohs
And paupers alike
Its innate desire
Unbeknownst to all
Who enquire
Nyarlathotep
The shapeshifting immortality
The Dweller in darkness
The bloody tongued god
Tempering
In the affairs of men
For its own
Amuse'ment
The shining trapezohedron
First found by the black Pharaoh
Nephren-Ka
Now banished by light
And lost to the seas
Imprisoned in the deep abyss
Of bygone aeons
And of aeons to come
Its presence looms
Seeping from within
The shining trapezohedron
Entombed and imprisoned
Yet its influence
Lingers still
The wicked three eyed glance
Will send down spines —chills
Will walk among men still
The crawler of the dark
The faceless god
The shapeless traveler
Nyarlathotep
He is lost who is possessed by carnal desire.
