Poem - Departing
Bid farewell
I depart
From the desolate realm
Where we fought
And fell
As spring departs
From the vale
The watchman
— Aged and frail
Indifferent
To the ways of the vale
He sits sipping
From his golden grail
The preoccupied king
His body
Atop the empty throne
His mind
In lands distant roams
The lamplighter
Dutifully strolls
With fire
Illuminate the halls
Mayhaps one day
Return he shall
For his advent
We might corral
Mayhaps it's too late
A king without
His kingdom
A reign without
Morale
Gleam no more
The rusted crown
And now I shall depart
For bid farewell
I must
Return I shan't
To this place
Where I rose and fell
Thanks for sharing...
