This platform has been my sanctuary during a huge transition in my life.
I am still trying to find a new direction for myself that allows for me to use my mind and contribute to my family and the world.
This entry is important to me for two reasons.
- It is largely biographical.
- It demonstrates how during the past 18 months on steemit I have been able to grow in confidence, as a writer and generally as a contributing member of the community.
I thank you so much for this. I harbour a dream of being someone. Your acknowledgement helps me to keep believing in myself.
same here @girlbeforemirror. For someone who was save from depression to almost suicide by Steemit.
I am more than grateful this platform exist. The confidence this community and such poem challenge means so much to me.

@girlbeforemirror I can relate to your journey I too am going through big changes in my life These are things we don't talk about everyday, yet they exist. I love Steemit for the same reason it has given me new purpose and meaning to a life that just over a year ago seemed hopeless. My poetry journey began in 1984. My gift as a literary artist has evolved since then and I love it and I want to support those who share that gift to be the best that they can be. I felt your poem deeply and I could see your life as story enfold as I read it from what you said and what you didn't and it brought me to the point of tears because I can relate and also you don't have to harbour a dream of being someone you are someone powerful gifted and great to not only Steemit but outside of Steemit as well to others in the world. Please continue to write, give and be a blessing and I am following you.
