Simple Pleasures (Lessons from a depressive existence)
For my friends struggling with sadness....
I wrote this for you (I wrote it for me too). But today I want it to be yours.
I am well aware of how life can beat us down. We are all human and our love is waiting to pour out on one and other. But sometimes it's tough, I know. Because if we are unable to love ourselves enough each day we will never have the energy to share the love within us with others.
Cheer up, I pray. You are loved! Believe it. And today, please let me share this tale of making time for Simple Pleasures with you.

Simple Pleasures
Open your eyes to the bright and blue world above
The sky that inspires wonder and awe
In its vast weightless sea of gases
We have flown like birds transporting the masses
Silence
Be still and listen to the silence
Nature surrounds enveloping us all around
In its heavenly music peace I've found
Breathe
Absorb the elixir of life
Air between the trees and blades of grass
Fills my lungs with multi faceted happiness like a mosaic of stained glass
When the day wears heavy on your heart
And night brings sorrow itching to tear you apart
Remember the simple pleasures
For they will fill your days with uplifting treasures
