Maybe Times Three

Maybe they’ll call it the greatest collection.
It’ll be in a far future time.
And maybe the future, in its recollection
Will think it’s worth more than a dime.

Maybe they’ll label it folly projection.
It’ll be in a far different scene.
And maybe the present, in its sweet confection
Will awaken to words in between.

Maybe they’ll say it was wise introspection.
It’ll be like nothing they know
And maybe the past, in its near rejection
Will finally have somewhere to go.
