HOLLOW

A feeling of emptiness and lack of purpose zooms into our lives at some point in time especially after a great loss or after facing rejection. We tend to feel alone, depressed or even worthless, It comes with a strong sense of loneliness and despair sometimes. This poem reflects the words of a person wallowing in an hollow within.

Alone in the void you left behind
No refuge from the storm of time
A rather loose shape, a drifted sea
Suffering the night
Alone but free
No stars to guide
No wind to flew
Just the promise of dark

Alone in the tears that fill my eyes
No comfort, no solace which I seek
A wandering mind, a heavy heart
Fighting the sorrow so hard
Alone but not lonely
Sound of creepy creatures
Loud noise and bustling
An empty, dark world

Alone in this world so wild
No music rolls, no sweet melodies
Weary with toil, a slave to pain
Gradually departing as air
Alone but lost
Vapours shading my soul
Girded up in the dust
A fog in the air

Alone in my thoughts so deep
No relief from the pains I face
A broken heart, a shattered dream
Raging war against the grief
Alone but strong
With flaming passions
Always pressing on
The future is indeed bright
