TODAY IS NATIONAL KIDS TAKE OVER THE KITCHEN DAY!
Will you let your kids cook a meal today? If they are anything like my son, they’ll make a big mess when cooking. But that’s okay, their learning important skills. These skills will help them eat healthier and become independent.
When my son was younger and helping me in the kitchen we would sing a short little song. I’ll spare you my singing voice and just give you the lyrics.
Cooking with mommy,
can be lots of fun,
when it is done,
We'll eat it Yum Yum!
stop your bitch’n,
but I want to impress,
helps them thrive!
something they find delish.
please try not to nag.
but their belly is full.
another lesson, I guess.
when it is done,
Yum Yum!

Can't wait to see what Matteo is going to do once he takes over the kitchen. That'll be a real mess for sure ha ha.
My husband always told me the bigger the mess I made cooking, the better it tasted. He once asked me how I managed to get flour on the back of my shirt. So, I hope he makes big mess!
