Why are you so cruel?

You give people the joy at the beginning but the worst sadness in the end.
You make us chase things that keep us in chains, yet slavery is over.
You give us every possibility and take it away in a glimpse.
You make us hope in the future, yet we know it will end.
You gave us happiness, passion and dreams, but you also gave us sadness, depression and grief.

Tell me is it revenge, do you have the feeling that we can do better?
Are we chasing the wrong things, or you just want to mess with us!
I don't know, I thought we deserved better, yet here we are.
You do all these things yet your name is so beautiful.
So tell me, why are you so cruel, life.
