"Her words" - A Poem

She said
That old thing
Don't work
Like it did
It don't fit
Take it off
Get rid of it
Free yourself
To flow
With the energy
Of 'new'
Let your heart
Run and dance
To the rhythm
That is you

It's a good idea to assess your clutter (physical, mental spiritual, or otherwise) and discard whatever isn't helpful anymore. It frees up space for more of what you want and need. That's what this poem is about to me (as the writer) but readers are welcome to ponder alternate interpretations.
