Miracle of silence
MIRACLE OF SILENCE
Four bodies
Five souls,
And a pool of blood.
The world a veil of black
To swallow the miracle;
Only a cast of
Serene shadows at this
Spectacle.
I an onlooker at the
Miracle of silence.
The night just
A night;
The wind just an howling
Fiend through the trees...
Two orbs of light
Fleeing a rush of shadows-
North and South in a
Sudden fusion of opposites...
Sound:
Offspring of a
Speedy knowing;
Two stars on a journey
To galactic collision...
Silence:
The trailing placenta of
Of a moments' birth...
Four bodies
Five souls-
Pool of blood at a miracle
Of silence.
Silence at this miracle of
Gashed heads and wreckage...
A stomach in
Knowing profusion;
A vision of hands torn from sockets,
Straying tendrils of eyes in
Bloody unseeing...
Four bodies
Five souls;
Pool of blood on a
Bed of tar and...
The solemn miracle
Of silence.
The night is still just a night
And I an onlooker at the
Miracle of life
And silence...
Soon the sirens will
Come howling;
Tearing intruders at
This hymen of silence,
And liquid husks will soil
This miracle of blood and tar...
But rest seer,
For from this cushion of tar
Will spout lilies of blood...
Testament to this miracle
Of silence.
