Leaves on the floor
Eggs on the ground
Fallen are the leaves
Broken are the eggs

None can be put back
None can be put aright

Once you have fallen
Once you have truly fallen
You can never get back

You’ll be tangled in the web
The fantasy
Fetched far from reality

And caught in the middle of a heart
Too hot for the cold,
Too cold for the heat
Never enough for both

And be swept afar
From the peace before the start
By the wind that blew you close

Before the feelings began to fall
Like leaves on the floor
And eggs on the ground

Only you will never want back
