Pain of a broken heart

So murdered a soul
Can't stand but fall
Its tears cascading
With no sign of healing
A soul so broken, so forlorn
Pricked my immortal thorn
What an agony it has to endure!
If this be the price to love pure
Then so be it
The soul won't quit
