The News

I watched the news.
It gave me the blues,
then told me the products
that I was to use.

It gave me the weather,
then gave me the sports.
Then, told me a silly story of sorts.

They gave me the truth
wrapped in some lies.
Then, presented a fib in a clever disguise.

They leaned to the left
so I went to the right;
But, they both lean toward false.
And, in here, is my plight.

I’ve turned to the peacock.
I’ve turned to the fox.
Now, I’m sick of this nonsense.
I’m turning it off!
