Good day everyone. So, I came accross with this contest, SteemitPoetryContest with the theme Future. I want everyone to know how much I share my love to writing poetries, and of course as a beginner, I am open with feedbacks about my works be it a negative or a positive one.
Anyway, here is my entry for the SteemitPoetryContest #12:
Father holds your future, in his mind you become the man
With the brawn to pursue and meet the plan
A hammer on your right, a nail on your left
Pounding hard until you break, they'll never notice the bloods that bled
Mother holds your future, in her mind you become the woman
With the poise to stalk the right path
Papers on your right, a pen on your left
Writing your minds out unendless, they'll never notice the struggles you kept
The truth is, nobody holds your own future
It is not the people who seeks for the picture
The future is in your hands
It is now for you to reach your stand
