RE: No Stranger Danger - An original poem, the first one I have written in probably 15 years.
Hot and muggy here. Playing a lot of cards and just hanging around. Oh my this kid can eat! I am tired but that has a lot to do with the weather.
How are you?
Good, been busy running to appointments this week. When is your grandson leaving, maybe you told me already (senior moment)😉 ? What does Lee think about your visitor? 🐓
Silas is sitting now listening to Grandpa read a book and waiting for his father to show up. He will stay overnight and they will leave together tomorrow.
Lee loves Silas who also brings him treats and pets him. She runs to the gate whenever she hears us coming.
The story is done but now I have to make the post. I'll wait to do that alone as it very tedious with all the formatting and pics. We had fun writing it during these hot days.
Hope you are well!
Thank you @Sircork, for letting us slip in on your comments section.
I am well and have no complaints. What good grandparents you two are to Silas, he's a lucky boy. Lee must be a very good judge of character, sweet to think of him petting Lee. Looking forward to your upcoming post! Sleep well friend🐓
He did a good job on the story. He gets so engaged with the chicks, being like a father to them, since he named all but the first 4. He is full of all kinds of ideas about what happened to them.
During morning prayer, when we have a small part for praying for the repose of ...and Cali, he immediately chimes in with the names of all the departed chickens. Lee recognizes him.
