I told them I wouldn't come back to you
I told them that I would stay away.
I assured them that I was getting over you
I assured them that I was getting better every day.

So when you looked at me again with those sad eyes
I was once again lured towards you.
I couldn't help it, I swear
There really was nothing I could do.

I could never get mad at you
No matter what you put me through.
I could never call you the things you have called me
I could never carry out the things that you do.

Even though you broke me countless times
I couldn't ever hate you
So will you promise to keep this a secret
And not tell them that I'm still in love with you?
