Poetry Slam Challenge 8: No Rulers

If I ruled the world

I would see the hungry fed

I would see peaceful and voluntary interaction replace violence and coercion

I would see an end to existing policies, reforms, decrees, laws, constitutions, governments and all else that fuels the status quo

If I ruled the world and walked in the footsteps of history

There would be a time when I would be forced to use force against those who chose me to rule

To take from them what isn't mine

And redistribute for my own gains

If I ruled the world

You would not agree with the entirety of my revolution

You would not feel like my new rules were any better or worse than the rules your previous ruler ruled over you with before me

You would not want me to rule your life

Or your children's

I am not fit to rule anyones world but my own

No rulers, no masters

Taxation is theft
