Emptiness Fills My Soul
Songs of praise are of sorrow for me
Mother used to serve food with no meat in it
In father's words alone we find glee
Oh! How emptiness fills my soul
By each passing day I became thin
Even mother's waist became thinner
Father's thorax becomes clearer
Oh! How emptiness fills my soul
Each hour became darker
As though doom's day has drawn nearer
Of course, it has. Mother's dead
Oh! How emptiness fills my soul
With torn regalia I lived through summer
With shelter not sheltered but, I thought someday
I'd say: So long a story I don't want to tell
Alas! See how emptiness fills my soul
