In fault
If only I did not make those mistakes;
Everything would still be okay,
My life would have been so much lighter than what it is today.
If only I did not go overboard,
That made the people I care the most;
Go away from me and ignored me this way.
If only I did not let my pride take the best of me,
I would've apologized to get us all together again;
If only I was brave enough,
To do the things that would have made them stay.
If only I did not crave for more than the attention they have given me,
We would've been happier today;
Than what I am right now.
If only I was able to tell you how sorry I am,
It would've been okay for us to see each other everyday;
If only I did not think only of myself,
The foundation of our connection would've been stronger.
If only I did not slip the words that have been spoken,
That have stabbed you a hundred times;
And have been enough for you to be lost from me.

i've had a lot of those same thoughts, but i guess there will be always "If only i" in life, and there is not exceptions.
