The Creativity Bug: Poems, Memes, and the Meaning of Life

in #poems6 years ago (edited)

I join the ranks of Mark Twain in a triumph admission that I didn't let school get in the way of my education. The best things they have taught are reading, writing, and a little math. Everything else I learned in "extracurriculars." Aka doing the dumb shit and getting back up again and again.

I share with you now poems to live by. Don't let anyone say you are effiminate or soft or a loser if you read poetry. They have been for me the fastest way to a bit of wisdom in an unexplainable world. Get some grounding with poetry in a sea of busy bodies.

Poets labor intensely on getting profound ideas across with the fewest words and often a lyrical beat. Just because a poem is merely two pages long doesn't mean it won't blow your brain into another dimension.

ADHD? All for the best. Re-reading is encouraged and won't take long.

Here's some that still blow my brain into the stratosphere:

@therealwolf 's created platform smartsteem scammed my post this morning (mothersday) that was supposed to be for an Abused Childrens Charity. Dude literally stole from abused children that don't have mothers ... on mothersday.
