Peter Pan

I thought flying was all I can comprehend and do
But I learned to pause and look at you
My heart began beating at the thought of you
I learned to smile and stare at everything you do

Maybe as my heart learned to speed up
It is you that keeps on running I wanted to stop
I hoped for you to look at me
I wished to every falling star that you’d be my destiny.

And as my world began spinning around you
Nothing can stop it, not even a deadly torpedo
I started to fall and fall deeply
Maybes become into maybes into countless maybes.

Until I realized that you’ve looked the other way
You never stared a minute at the direction of me
You started approaching somebody leaving me a complete nobody

You are that infamous Peter Pan
And I wished you’d take me back to Neverland
But you got your Wendy
And I was that Tinkerbell that you left, torn and lonely

You’re my Peter Pan
Loving you is what I did and did as I can
But you never laid eyes upon me
I can’t even feel you seeing me as I drift away

How I wished I flew a bit higher
And reached for your hand a little quicker
I’d like to reminisce you and delve into the past
But I’ll only get lonely and know how it unfortunately did not last.

So I let you go without calling out to you
Maybe that’s the safest thing I could do
I’m letting you fly away as far as you can get
Coz I’m scared my tears might only get your wings wet.
